Toddler Activities: Pumpkin Patch

We have already been to the Tolmachoff Pumpkin Patch twice in the last four days.  This is my favorite pumpkin patch and I can’t speak out of much experience because I’ve only been to this one and the one in Scottsdale.  Last year I wasn’t too impressed with the Scottsdale Pumpkin Patch, so we haven’t even been this year.

With a $2 off coupon for the Tomachoff farm, train rides, tons of young children activities, a pretty decent petting zoo, corn mazes, corn box and as close to a pumpkin patch as you can get here – it is well worth your while!  We found that many schools take field trips to this location during the week.  If you want to beat the crowds during the week, go right when it opens up or around 2pm.

The train rides are exciting and we were laughing the entire ride (sit in the back for the most fun):

There are two options for the corn maze, we chose the short 5 minute one.  It’s perfect for younger kids and toddler K really thought he was lost and was working on finding his way out.  It was super cute and we did this multiple times on both visits.photo 3

Lucy the pot-bellied pig will steal your heart.  On both occasions we got to pet her and she’ll roll over on her side to let you rub her fat little belly.  Beware of the other pigs, they might take a nip at you.  Don’t forget to visit the chicks, they’re a little hidden over by the porta potties.photo 2(1)

The spiderweb is over by the corn maze and they have a bouncy house and some other fun activities located on that side.photo 1(1)

Say hello to the goats and bring them some food.  I love animals and toddler K loves them too, so we spend a lot of time petting the different animals over and over again.photo 2

Your child will never leave the corn box!  What a fun idea this is but quite a dirty one, bring some wipes to clean them off after they make corn angels.photo 1Not listed is an amazing jumping contraption that we had a blast on.  It’s a great workout but be careful of the older kids.

What is your favorite Pumpkin Patch in the valley?
